Founded in 1912 St. John’s has grown from a six-room wooden structure to a 230-bed regional medical center on a 48-acre parcel in northeast Oxnard.

Headquartered in San Francisco, Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), is a system of 40 hospitals and medical centers in California, Arizona and Nevada. Founded in 1986, CHW is the eighth largest hospital system in the nation and the largest not-for-profit hospital provider in California.

San Buenaventura is a non-profit, 240-bed, community-owned regional hospital and health center governed by an unpaid Board of Trustees. We are fully licensed by the State of California Department of Health Services and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.

Our trustees, all of whom are local citizens, believe we can serve you best by providing, in a cost-effective manner, the newest and best in medical techniques and technology, administered by compassionate and caring professionals. Grossman Imaging Centers is proud to announce that we can now enable our referring physicians to use their own PCs or notebooks to access 2-D, 3-D, and 4- D medical imaging of their patients securely over the Internet. This diagnostic imaging technology we recently adopted will provide a more effective communication among our physicians as well as better patient outcomes. Our web-based, client-server capability advances our mission to make sophisticated 3-D and 4-D imaging capabilities readily available to Ventura County physicians, whenever and wherever they need them.
